When will I see results from my laser sessions?
With our laser, you will experience results from your very first hair removal session. Your hair growth will slow down and you might notice that you are shaving less, and that hair takes longer to grow.
For more permanent results at least 6 sessions are needed to experience the full benefits of laser hair removal, but what can you expect after each laser session?
After the first session: Hair will take longer to grow back, but you will still see a full growth cycle coming back. After the third laser session you will still feel like you have all of your hair, but the truth is, that we have now effectively damaged three cycles of hair growth.
Each of your follicles has active, and sleeping hairs – and we need to go through one full cycle to remove the active and sleeping ones in each follicle.
After the fourth laser session, hair will be sparse and growth would be more manageable, but it is very important not to stop here. You might be satisfied with your new level of hair growth, but it is very important to have at least 6 sessions of laser hair removal.
A lot of our clients are happy after 6 sessions, but you might require more treatments to be completely hair free on areas like the face and bikini that are affected by hormonal hair growth. If you have done less than 6 sessions you will still experience hair growth, as you will still have hair that has not been treated.
Before committing to laser – it is very important to know that you have to do a treatment in every hair growth cycle to damage all hair follicles. Our therapist will explain this in your very first laser session.
How many laser treatments do I need?
- A course of 6 – 10 treatments are usually needed – depending on the area and thickness of the hair.
- Results can be seen from the first treatment, but a course of 6 treatments should be completed to see an 80/90% reduction.
- The laser has to treat hair in every growth phase of your cycle.
- Treatments are done at 4 – 6 week intervals to achieve this.
- We require our clients to monitor growth and provide us with feedback to create optimal treatment plan.
- Regular treatments will ensure efficient treatment of hair follicles.
Why is my laser hair removal not working?
When it comes to laser hair removal – there are so many companies and beauty clinics that have joined in the trend. These companies have lower grade machines that take much longer to work.
It is very important to do your research when choosing a laser clinic. Always ask what laser machine they are using, and check the supplier, ( We recommend the Alma (https://www.almalasers.com/ ) range of lasers, as this supplier is a medical grade manufacturer), it is also important to ask your therapist how much energy she is putting into each area.
If your therapist is untrained, or if they company is trying to save money and cut corners, they are more likely to put less energy into each body part. If you are having your laser done at a reputable clinic, and you are still not seeing results, its time to look at one of the following :
The right number of sessions
We would always recommend a minimum of 6-8+ sessions for the majority of clients. If you have been told that you will have 100% hair removal in 6 sessions this is untrue. Your hair will be reduced greatly after 6 sessions but this is not the end of your hair removal journey.
There are a number of different internal factors that may be contributing to your results not progressing. Hormonal, hereditary and genetic factors influence your treatment outcome. Laser with can only treat hairs externally so there is a limit to what results we can achieve for people with underlying issues. In most cases clients who may have hormonal issues need more sessions to achieve their desired result and may need a few more top ups on a yearly basis to maintain their results.
You’re not being consistent
The standard time between appointments is four to six weeks. It usually takes five sessions to achieve satisfactory hair reduction. Regular appointments is vital.

Permanent Laser Hair Removal
Frequently Asked Questions
Is laser hair removal safe?
Yes. All of our machines are FDA approved and have little to no side effects and do not appear to be any long-term health risks associated with the procedure.
What does laser hair removal feel like?
Because we use the latest technology, we pride ourselves in offering painless laser hair removal treatments. Laser feels like a warm, prickly sensation in your hair follicles.
How can I get rid of ingrown hairs?
This is one treatment that is highly effective in resolving the ingrown hair problem. Laser hair removal goes to the root of the problem, literally. The laser energy is absorbed into the hair follicle destroying its ability to produce hair. Along with getting rid of the ingrown hairs and bumps, laser hair removal also helps to alleviate any skin discoloration caused by the ingrown hairs.
Can dark skin be lasered?
Absolutely. Our advanced technology gives us the opportunity to treat all skin types.
How old do you have to be to do laser hair removal?
We recommend 16 years of age and above. This is because permanent hair removal works best once all your hair follicles have fully developed. Hair follicle development occurs during puberty and thus it is usually best to wait until adulthood to have permanent hair removal.
However, in cases when someone younger than 16 is suffering self-esteem issues due to dark or unwanted hair growth on the face or body, we will consider them for hair removal with the consent of a parent or guardian. Our team is very understanding and discreet, as we are dedicated to eliminating unwanted hair for all.
Laser cannot target grey, white, red hair & limited with lightly pigmented hair. Please discuss blonde hair with your professional laser technician.
